This is my personal feelings on the current situation in this country. I will leave the decision up to you.
I may see things differently due to my PTSD or because of my time in the military or a combination of both.
When I took my oath for the Army, I was young (18 years old) and the lessons that I learned have stayed with me for all my life. Being accountable for my actions is one of my life lessons. While I do have mental health challenges and hear things that aren’t there. I do have a habit of questioning things that don’t make sense to me.
When I hear the current White House saying that they want to deport those who have come from Hispanic or other European country I get upset. The fact that the current occupant of the White House had a doctor write notes so they didn’t have to go to Vietnam. They have had more than one company go bankrupt.
When President Obama was in office, it was started by the current occupant that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States (he was born in Hawaii - the same State as my father) and they made a ton of challenges for the President by making unfounded claims.
Now this is the same person is acting like they have dictators powers and they can do what they want. The thing is that they are killing this country. We have food prices that are going through the roof, rent prices that are going up, electric prices are going up and the income for people with disabilities is going down.
The way SSA works is that if a married couple is both on disability then their SSDI payment are deducted from the SSI payments that they receive. If they get disability from the VA or another agency then that will be deducted from the SSI.
It seems that some programs that are supposed to help others are destroying them in the process. If I can manage to pay all my bills and rent on time then why can’t the federal government. I know that they are running a trickle down economics and they need to start helping the lower class or the country in my opinion is going to crash. We need to have a more even spread of wealth and that means taxes on the rich and making sure that people have enough to make it without having to make life endangering choices.
Can we fix this? Yes, if we go back to the old ways. Making things that are hand made or hand grown have more value than something that is bought for $5. Learning to respect others while understanding that there will be people with different beliefs and accepting that.
